**Position Summary**:
The Estimator’s objective is to generate accurate reinforcing steel estimates for the sales team to meet tender closing dates.

**Position Functions**:

- Provide professional reinforcing steel estimates that are accurate, complete and qualified
- Ensure that site conditions, trips, start-up, duration of project and any additional information that may affect pricing, fabrication, installation and shipping is accounted for and communicated to the sales team
- Reviews scope of work, specifications and addendums for respective projects to ensure accurate breakdown of material as required
- Reviews and makes changes to estimate as per post-tender addendums
- Prints drawings, reports as required in completing tender process
- Use aSa estimating software for rebar take-off
- Work closely with sales, production, installation and safety teams to ensure they are fully aware of the project scope for estimation purposes
- Investigate and communicate any potential sales opportunities (Sask Tenders and various Plan Rooms)

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge and experience in computer programs such as BlueBeam, aSa, AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, electrical, production and mechanical blueprints
- Excellent math skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe
- Experience in sales and or in the construction industry an asset
- Ability to work flexible hours
