In support of customer satisfaction, this position is responsible for the development, maintenance and improvement of registration, reprocessing and inspection. Duties also include the introduction and enhancement of new processes, technology, information systems, tools and equipment into the operations. The senior team lead will drive efficiencies via Kaizen events or business process re-engineering.

**Job Duties**:

- Oversees the overall flow of registration, reprocessing, and final inspection throughout the shop floor to achieve maximum efficiency and turnaround time.
- Ensures that quality is implemented in all processes, procedures, work instructions, and SOPs, which must be followed according to the standards.
- Develops and implements effective processes to maximize the utilization of resources.
- Assures the development of inspection controls, including training, education, outside hiring, and other activities necessary to provide the required level of support to the organization.
- Manages the introduction of new technology into registration, reprocessing, and final inspection processes.
- This includes process flow layout & line setup, and selection of tools, jigs, and equipment.
- In coordination with the management, plans and analyzes the scheduling of manpower to ensure that registration, reprocessing, and final inspection KPIs are meeting the target.
- Recommends methods of process simplification, such as reduction of WIP, Kanbans, etc., to reduce turnaround times and improve efficiencies.
- Performs daily huddles to ensure the communication channels are open to the technicians.
- Ensures completion of accurate service records and immediate documentation of Discrepant Material Notices (DMN).
- Supports and initiates Change Notices (CNs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPAs), and Corrective Action Reports (CARs) when required.
- May be required to perform duties in support of business needs by working in other areas outside their primary responsibilities.

**Job Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- High school diploma required.
- A graduate of a community college (1-2-year program) with a technology concentration preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inspection experience is required.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of prior experience inspecting Olympus medical devices (endoscopes).
- Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.): Willing to work overtime as required.
- **Preferred**:

- Technician Lead or Level 3 is preferred.
- Use and knowledge of Datasweep is preferred.
- Effective and timely communication both oral and written.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with other software programs.
- Able to perform required duties with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of Health Canada regulations desirable.
- Service responsibilities include the handling of products and equipment that may have potentially come in to contact with blood or bodily fluids.
