Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) Location: Richmond Hospital, Richmond, BC Salary: CAD $28.91 / hr. Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) team today Key Responsibilities Decontaminate, inspect, test, assemble, package, wrap, sterilize, and distribute hospital products, including simple and complex instruments, linen, and equipment used in operating rooms and other areas. Perform designated cleaning duties and restock operating and labour‑delivery operating room shelves, cupboards, and carts according to established procedures. Provide input regarding observations and interactions with patients to the unit‑based team. Carry out other related clerical duties. Education & Experience Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing course, plus one year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of surgical and medical terminology. Mathematical aptitude. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Equipment operation ability. Physical ability to perform job duties. Work organization skills. Work hours, days off, and work area may be subject to change per operational requirements and the Collective Agreement. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
