Cmm Quality Technician

Richmond Hill, Canada Tesla, Inc. Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate CMM machine using existing programs and create new programs using Calypso and MCosmos software
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection using CMM, and precise measurement tools and equipment
- Perform first-part, in-process, and final inspections and record the inspection data for further analysis
- Troubleshoot problems with machinery and measurement programs
- Understand engineering drawings and analyze the measurements to ensure the accuracy of the readings
- Perform part layouts and capability studies to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience programming and operating CMMs and performing inspections in a machine shop environment
- Strong background programming and operating CMM
- Strong knowledge in metrology, engineering drawing reading, and GD&T interpretation skills
- Practical experience performing first-off, in-process and final inspections
- Experience using precise measurement tools and equipment, such as micrometers, bore gages, height gages, profile projectors, etc

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
