NorQuesters are difference makers, and we’re searching for someone dedicated to making a difference to join our Wellness team as a Family Violence Resource Specialist.

**HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE**
- Lead project planning and delivery by managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with the Government of Alberta grant agreement. Conduct a rapid needs assessment to identify gaps in family violence prevention supports and leverage existing community resources.
- Develop impactful resources and curriculum by creating ethical, accessible, and culturally relevant educational materials. Collaborate with artists, designers, and translators to produce plain-language pamphlets in five languages and a trauma-informed workshop curriculum with a comprehensive facilitator guide.
- Deliver engaging prevention workshops across the college and community partner sites, fostering awareness and dialogue around family violence prevention. Provide mentorship and support to workshop facilitators to strengthen program delivery.
- Build strong partnerships by fostering collaboration across college departments—such as the Centre for Growth & Harmony, the Faculty of Skills & Foundational Learning, and Correctional Education—and by engaging community organizations like The Saffron Centre, Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton, The Family Violence Centre, and The Newcomer Centre.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Education, Community Development, or a related human services field (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
- A minimum of two years of experience in social work, education, violence prevention, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience developing and delivering workshops.
- Subject matter expertise and practical experience in adult education.
- A solid understanding of Adult Learning Principles (ALPs).
- A strong, intersectional understanding of trauma-informed concepts as they relate to education, family violence prevention, and safety planning.
- Experience working with newcomers to Canada is considered an asset.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development, including participation in learning opportunities and staying current on best practices in adult education and violence prevention.
