We are looking for a People Operations Coordinator and Office Manager to join our People Operations team to deliver a best-in-class culture and employee experience. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role working directly with leaders across HiMama to ensure a world-class employee experience as we head into our next phase of growth.
As a People Operations Coordinator, you’ll be at the centre of our office, culture, and employee experience, fostering an engaging and friendly atmosphere for our team members. You’ll champion our core values and build on our impressive people foundation by onboarding the best and brightest to HiMama, while creating an inclusive, energetic, and welcoming workplace. You will join a fast-paced, dynamic and fun People Operations Team that is focused on making HiMama an exceptional place to work.
**What You'll Be Doing**:
- Leading our office operations, including facilities management, inventory management (tech equipment, supplies, food and beverages, etc.), vendor management, etc.
- End-to-end ownership of the employee onboarding experience, including coordination of all pre-onboarding activities (technology, scheduling, account setup), and ensuring an amazing first impression of HiMama as an employer
- Developing and executing our HiMama Culture Calendar, including planning marquee company-wide events (quarterly summits, team celebrations, etc.)
- Supporting the development of our hybrid work operating model, including evolving our office setup, technology, and ways of working
- Owning our wellness agenda, including coordinating company-wide offerings (yoga, meditation), office initiatives, and training
- Leading our health & safety committee, ensuring a safe and comfortable workplace
- Managing our technology and other core operational items to ensure our team members have the tools they need to be successful in their roles
- Serving as a ‘friendly face’ to all employees at HiMama, including answering and addressing employee inquiries
- Supporting our broader People Operations agenda with key HR tasks as they arise
- Working closely with the rest of our People Ops team to evolve our people processes while delivering on our core values and commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging
**What We’re Looking For**:
- 1-2 years of work experience in a highly people-focused and cross-functional role (e.g., people & culture, customer service, administration, event planning)
- High energy and enthusiasm, with a passion for creating a workplace and events that excite and engage those around them
- A creative mind, with the energy and commitment to bringing new ideas to life through engaging events and initiatives
- An ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with employees and leaders across the company
- Strong attention to detail and skilled in juggling multiple priorities
- Clear and engaging communication, with the ability to energize and excite team members around you
- A passion for creating a workplace that is warm, welcoming, and inclusive to all employees
- Has a growth mindset, is curious, and eager to learn
- Excited about being part of a social enterprise and a growing team that is ambitious and loves to ‘work hard and win’
- Experience in People & Culture / HR an asset, but not required
- Willingness to work from our downtown Toronto office at least 3 days per week
