**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum grade 12 or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in an Environmental Services capacity, preferably in a Healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of the use of proper body mechanics to meet the physical demands of the job, for prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling carts.
- Knowledge and understanding of WHMIS
- Knowledge and understanding of the PIDAC Environmental Cleaning best practices.
- Working knowledge of computers and entering online data i.e. Incident reporting.
- Knowledge of the requirements and provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, judgment and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be available for all shifts including weekends, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays.
- Consistent and regular attendance required.
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
