**QUALIFICATIONS**: - A minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent - Food Handlers Certificate required and knowledge of safe food handling - Minimum 1 year experience in Long term care preferred - Appropriate skills, knowledge and experience in the field of institutional, health care, restaurant or hospitality food service - Dietary Food Service Workers Certificate considered an asset - Familiarity with therapeutic diets - Ability to perform repetitive motions and lift an average of 15 lbs - Knowledge of proper body mechanics to meet the physical demands of the job for prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting - Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision-making skills - Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team - Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision - Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays - Consistent and regular attendance required - Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset - In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the Ontario Human Rights Code, Niagara Health will provide accommodations through the recruitment process to applicants with disabilities.
