We are currently seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer for our VIU location. The Enforcement Officer ensures that all parking rules are followed without exception. The Parking Enforcement Officer must ensure we consistently meet the client’s expectations by providing excellent customer service. They are also the ambassador for the company as well as the venue.

**Shift Information**:

- Tuesday - Friday (4pm to 8pm)
- Saturday (10am to 6:30 pm)

**General Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Patrol and monitor lot areas including checking all working areas and lots for cleanliness, safety checks, and enforcing the parking guidelines.
- Record data through Apenate and prepare all reports as required.
- Maintain a professional and clean appearance, wearing Indigo issued uniforms and clothing at all times including while performing patrol duties, responding to inquiries, and while driving the University’s parking patrol vehicle.
- Adhere to the Vancouver Island University Patroller Guidelines.
- Ensure that patrol vehicle is stocked with the required equipment, cleaning supplies, and basic tools needed.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working conditions including parking meters, cameras, cell phones, ticket printers, patrol vehicle, etc.
- Work with management, staff, and suppliers to coordinate the successful operation and growth of the Account and the Company.
- Assist with other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time including on-site work as a Host.
- Ensure the client relationship between Vancouver Island University and Indigo is always kept at the highest regard.

**Additional Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Previous experience in Parking or Customer Service is considered an asset
- Knowledge of the MS office suite of programs
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to effectively interact with guests and clients
- Class 5 Driver's License
- Ability to Pass a Criminal Record Check

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Nanaimo, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:
