Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Loss Prevention Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment across our retail or corporate facilities. This role requires strong observational skills, knowledge of surveillance systems, and a background in law enforcement or security operations. The Loss Prevention Officer will play a critical role in deterring theft, investigating suspicious activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor store premises using CCTV and other surveillance equipment to identify potential theft or security breaches.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter theft and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Observe and analyze suspicious behaviors or activities, intervening when necessary to prevent loss or damage.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations related to theft, vandalism, or other security incidents.
  • Document incidents thoroughly through detailed reports and maintain accurate records of all security activities.
  • Assist in training staff on loss prevention procedures and security protocols.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security concerns to mitigate risks effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in law enforcement, security, or loss prevention roles is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of surveillance systems such as CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
  • Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious behaviors quickly.
  • Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and best practices for retail or corporate environments.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle potentially confrontational situations professionally.
  • Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond swiftly to incidents across the premises.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.75-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
