South Surrey Smiles is looking for a passionate and energetic Full-Time Orthodontic Assistant to join our well-established practice in Surrey, British Columbia. We are willing to provide training if you have successfully completed the orthodontic module
This position will be for maternity leave coverage (up to 16 months) to start with the possibility for extension.

**What you will be doing - key responsibilities**:
- Build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure the targeted outcome treatment remains on schedule.
- Provide patient instruction/education and provide reports to parents/guardians.
- Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system.
- Placing and removing wires, fitting orthodontic appliances.
- Set up trays and prepare brackets for bonding.
- Take x-rays, photos, and digital impressions.
- Assist in Records and with Treatment Coordinator tasks as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Doctor, Clinical Lead, and Practice Manager.

**What you bring - qualifications**:
- Certified Dental Assistant, with successful completion of Orthodontics Module.
- Experience in an orthodontic specialty office is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; proficiency with dental software systems (we use Ortho2) is an asset to complete tasks such as data entry, patient tracking and imaging.
