**Position Details**
- The University of Lethbridge is seeking a full-time, continuing Art Collections Registrar (Fine Arts Technician II) to start in October 2024.

Under the direction of the Director/Curator, the Art Gallery Registrar’s role is to maintain the highest standards of documentation and care for the University’s Art Collections, exhibitions and loans.

The Registrar continuously audits and updates artwork database content, creates and tracks art loan agreements with other institutions, monitors physical security of artworks, and leads or advises on projects to maintain or improve protection of objects to cultural industry standards. The Registrar initiates art packing and shipment, supervises internal art moves, records and shares artist information, artwork provenance and donation information. In support of the Gallery’s mission, the Registrar routinely demonstrates and teaches best practices for heritage collections to students, colleagues and associated third parties.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification review for Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) positions. As such, the classification level currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.

**Position Qualifications**
- 4 - 6 years experience.

**Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $4,691.00 - $5,246.00 monthly

**Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $4,691.00 - $5,799.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 10)
