About the University

At the University of Lethbridge, we speak in perspectives. We are located in the heart of traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory in southern Alberta with campuses in Lethbridge and Calgary. ULethbridge is more than a place to learn — it’s a place to build a career and make a lasting impact. We are one of Canada’s top universities and leading research institutions with more than 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students. We are an inclusive university that values diverse experiences and backgrounds. Our people are our greatest strength, and we are dedicated to fostering growth and success for all of our people. Together, we transform lives and communities.

The University of Lethbridge is hiring a Marketing Specialist (internally referred to as a Marketing & Communications Specialist) to help shape the future of the Faculty of Arts & Science. In this full-time, continuing position, you’ll play a key role in supporting student recruitment and retention through creative marketing strategies, engaging advertising, and memorable annual events. Your work will connect students with programs that inspire them, while upholding the ULethbridge brand.

In this role, you’ll provide expert marketing guidance to the Faculty of Arts & Science, manage full-funnel campaigns, and collaborate with departments to plan and deliver events. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across ULethbridge, including Communications, Marketing and Government Relations (CMGR) and Student Enrolment and Registrar Services (SEARS). This position reports to the Director of Marketing and works closely with the Associate Dean (Faculty of Arts & Science). Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support major events.

We’re a collaborative, creative, and student-focused team. If you’re excited to lead meaningful advertising campaigns that make a difference, we want to hear from you. Please include a portfolio link (if applicable) in your cover letter or resume.

Responsibilities

- Create and implement Faculty-specific digital marketing campaigns that align with the ULethbridge’s brand and audience needs.

- Provide strategic marketing guidance to the Faculty of Arts and Science in alignment with the central marketing team, ensuring tracking and reporting of KPIs to the Faculty administrative team.

- Maintain website content on Faculty pages to ensure accuracy and brand alignment.

- Plan and deliver Faculty contributions to events that support student recruitment and retention, such as Open House, New Student Orientation, Ahead of the Herd and Faculty of Arts and Science-specific events like the Dean’s List Award Evening, scholarship events and strategic student engagement events.

- Collaborate with Student Enrolment and Registrar Services to ensure Faculty of Arts and Science alignment with institutional recruitment and retention initiatives. Act as a key connector between the central marketing team and the Faculty of Arts & Science.

- Working within a network model, support communications activities and initiatives as required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

- 2 – 4 years of experience in marketing and communications, including digital advertising, in-person events and campaign performance management.

- Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating, and supporting events, including scheduling, logistics, timelines, and on-site execution.

- Hands‑on experience within digital marketing platforms (Meta and Google) and working within established brand guidelines.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while building strong relationships.

- Post‑secondary experience is considered an asset.
