**How You will Spend Your Time**

As a **Manager of Employment Assistance Services (EAS),** your primary area of focus will be leading a team of employment specialists in providing employment information and career guidance to newcomer immigrants arriving in Canada.

You will collaborate with internal and external partners to provide overall direction to the Employment Assistance Services (EAS) team to empower them to support and provide education for clients in relation to all aspects of their job search and career planning process with the goal of their successful integration into the local community.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leads program development that promotes newcomer integration via employment goal success, role retention, wellness and a strong sense of community and involvement.
- Lead, support and direct Employment Assistance Services team (EAS) in implementation and coordination of program and service initiatives, ensuring team members are meeting objectives though program deliverables, within budget, and that are reflective of IRSA’s values, missions, and objectives.
- Identifies immediate and emerging client needs, as well as trends, for employment assistance programs, leading the EAS team in developing strategies and programming to ensure IRSA is responsive to both.
- Leads, coaches, mentors, and provides support to EAS team, schedules, and chairs regular team meetings, sets, and approves team member schedules to maximize program delivery, leads team member progress and development processes while inspiring and engaging the team to reach their full potential and service capacity.
- Leads onboarding, training, and development of new and existing EAS team members, supporting recruitment and hiring processes as they relate to EAS.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on the development of strategic direction to support initiatives for IRSA.
- Develops strong partnerships with all IRSA departments to promote participation, engagement and wellness opportunities while supporting other departmental programming as well.
- Supports, develops, and enhances partnerships with community organizations, business, governmental agencies, ethno-cultural organizations, and events that support newcomer integration and IRSA programs.
- Leads and encourages EAS participation in networking and community events, promoting participation of IRSA clients.
- Supports working relationships between EAS members and other internal and external partners for overall IRSA program delivery benefit.
- Regularly reviews program delivery and event offerings as part of continual improvement process, work with EAS team to develop and implement follow-up action plans to address those opportunities.
- Leads EAS on development and distribution of content for IRSA’s website, social media pages and applicable digital marketing, as well as informational communications regarding Employment Assistance services and programming that maximize the reach and reputation of IRSA. (in conjunction with Information Services Coordinator and Director of Programs)
