**Position**:QAQC Manager - On Site - Nalunaq Gold Mine, Shift - 21 / 14 rotation, 4 - 6-month contract.

**Job Location**:The Nalunaq gold mine is located 30 km northeast of Nanortalik, Greenland’s 10thlargest town with a population of approximately 1,350.

Travel to and from site provided by the company. This project site is a dormitory-style camp complex - Accommodation and meals provided.

**The job responsibilities are outlined as follows**:

- Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify that construction activities and materials meet the specified quality standards and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, Inspection test plans, building codes, regulations, and industry standards to maintain the safety, functionality, and durability of the constructed facility.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions taken.
- Identify and document non-conformities or deviations from the specified quality requirements, and coordinate with project stakeholders to develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Evaluate and monitor the performance of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that their work and materials meet the required quality standards.
- Identify areas for improvement in construction processes, procedures, and quality control measures, and recommend and implement corrective actions to enhance quality performance.
- Provide training and guidance to project personnel and subcontractors regarding quality control requirements, standards, and procedures to promote a culture of quality throughout the project.
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of quality control processes, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Work closely with project managers, construction managers, site superintendents, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address quality-related issues, provide recommendations, and promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Conduct final inspections to ensure that all quality requirements have been met before project handover and participate in project closeout activities.
- Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including quality control manuals, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure that health and safety measures are integrated into the quality control processes, promoting a safe working environment for all workers.
- Assist project managers and construction managers with various day-to-day responsibilities as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a Canadian Passport - must be held with expiry on/ or about the end of next year
- Minimum 10 years prior QAQC experience
- Exemplify a high standard of health and safety culture.
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Experience in multidisciplinary projects (Foundations, Structures and Building Envelopes, Mechanical, Electrical and Piping)
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
