**Overview**

**This position is on site Monday through Friday; tentative 8:00am - 4:30pm daily (start time can be flexible).**

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
- Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement
- Prepare detailed reports on cost trends, variances, and forecasts to support management decisions
- Collaborate with various departments to gather data and understand their cost structures
- Communicate regularly with Finance, R&D, Sales, QA, Production, & Client Services
- Coordinate with R&D & Sales to build new product costs
- Setup new product item cards, bill of materials & labour routing
- Review/update existing product costs
- Review/Analyze daily production yields, investigate variances, provide troubleshooting assistance to production as needed
- Review/Analyze daily labour efficiencies, investigate variances
- Provide efficiency trending to production & assist with efficiency improvements
- Assist with cycle count/physical inventories
- Provide backup to the Inventory Analyst including inventory reporting & analysis inventory adjustments, and posting shipments
- Assist in month-end & year end closing, analyze COGS, reconcile accounts, inventory evaluation
- Report on key performance metrics
- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to budgets and identify potential overruns
- Evaluate supplier pricing and negotiate contracts to optimize procurement costs.

**Experience**
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Cost Analyst or similar role in a corporate environment is preferred, but not essential
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders effectively

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
