Child Care Assistant (Perfect Position for Students)

**Little Learners is a Before and After School Child Care Program located at 323 Emerson Avenue in Emerson Elementary School in North Kildonan And we are Hiring**

We provide morning care 7:00-9:30am, afternoon care 4:00-6:00pm, all day care on In-service days 7:00am-6:00pm. **(Staffing hours are split shifts: 6:55 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.; 3:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and 8 hour shifts on inservice days, Christmas and Spring Break**.) Additional hours for those who are available to work on other projects.

We are closed during the months of July and August. After a probation period we offer a pension plan.

Some of the job requirements (but not limited to) are as follows: Current CPR and First Aid (if not current, to be obtained within the first 3 months of employment). Clear Criminal Record Check and Clear Child Abuse Registry Check (also can be obtained after accepting the position). Great Written and Oral Communication Skills. A team player with strong leadership skills. Organized but can go with the flow. Has the ability to plan and engage with children ages 5 through 12. Experience managing challenging behaviours. The ability to be physically active in order to meet the demands of very active 5 through 12 year olds Enthusiastic

Pay: $16.95-$17.51 per hour
