Winnipeg, Canada Garden Grove Child Care Program Inc. Full time

Garden Grove Child Care is seeking Child Care Assistants to work within our Programs under the Canada Summer Jobs Grant from June through August. The positions may be extended into an enhanced staffing role to allow for enhanced ratios to support the children within our programs beginning in September. We have positions in both of our Programs; we are seeking a CCA to work within our Preschool Program (ages 18 months - 6 yrs) & a CCA to work within our Preschool/School Age Program (4yrs-12yrs). Experience is considered an asset.

Applicants should have the following:
The willingness to have fun and build relationships with children and families

The ability to work as part of a cooperative team

Patience, laughter, and a positive attitude

The ability to plan and implement activities for children.

The ability to supervise a group of children.

Be willing to participate in all childrens’ activities

Experience with preschool & school aged children.

Applicants require a current Criminal record check including vulnerable sectors, Child Abuse registry check, and current First Aid and CPR

The criteria for our Summer Grant positions are that you must:

- Be between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act AND have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

Employment start dates are flexible but most likely fall into the June - August timeline and some positions may be extended.
