Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Estimating the loss and reconstruction of residential and commercial water, fire, wind, mold, and asbestos restoration projects using Xactimate software.
- Preparing and interpreting sketches for estimating purposes
- Work closely with Project Managers and Coordinators to ensure scope of work and uploads are completed in a timely manner.
- Prepare materials, labor and equipment cost estimations necessary to successfully carry out loss and reconstruction projects.
- Prepare and maintain a list of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
- Prepare estimates by calculating complete scope of work.
- Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures.
- Review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quote.

**Requirements**:

- Highly organized self-starter who is able to work independently
- Patience in working with a diverse clientele
- Personable with ability to effectively communicate both in verbal and written form
- Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material and labor estimates.
- Confident in the decision making process
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Ability to recognize and solve problems with mínimal supervision
- Ability to handle stressful situations and work well under pressure and tight timelines
- Solid understanding and working knowledge of various insurance carrier estimating protocols
- Effectively work with customers, adjusters, sub-contractors and employees at all levels of the organization
- Ability to prioritize and meet all assigned time lines
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Customer focused - respond promptly to customer needs.
- Receptive to change - can adapt to changing circumstances.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5 year’s work experience working as an Estimator and/or Project Manager in the restoration and/or construction industry
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency of Xactimate/Xactanalysis software
- Construction knowledge would be considered a definite asset
