**About the Role**

We’re searching for one Part-Time Bakery Team Member to join our amazing baking team This role will include baking, decorating, and packaging daily orders for cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc. This position requires weekend availability plus two additional week days (can be flexible) This position will be working from our commercial kitchen facility on Berry St.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Adhere to our Allergy Awareness Policy to ensure a 100% peanut and tree nut free environment and take all necessary precautions to prevent cross-contamination with allergens present in the bakery
- Follow proper dishwashing, food handling, health and safety procedures including first in / first out
- Maintain a clean shared work environment using our clean as you go principle
- Follow recipes to prepare and bake cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other desserts according to Sweet Impressions standards for quality and allergy safety
- Decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other desserts according to customer specifications and Sweet Sweet Impressions standards for quality and allergy safety
- Package and label baked goods to ensure accurate allergen information and exceptional presentation
- Prepare and organize all orders for pickup and delivery according to order dashboard summaries
- Use technology tools including order management dashboard and Google workspace to organize and manage inventory and orders, and facilitate staff communication.
- Monitor inventory of bakery products, ingredients, packaging materials and supplies
- Assist in receiving orders and ensure all ingredients are from approved “nut free” facilities with allergen reports in place
- Assist in recipe development tasks as assigned
- Assist in training new hires on standard operating procedures, internal order management Dashboard, product consistency, etc.
- Communicate effectively with bakery teammates to coordinate completion of orders
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 1 year baking experience (required)
- Post-Secondary education (degree or certificate) in Baking or Patisserie (asset)
- Detail oriented
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- An early riser Someone who is ready to work as early as 6am
- Someone fun, positive, and friendly
