The French-Language Teaching and Learning Branch is seeking a dynamic professional to fill the role of Manager, French-Language Curriculum Policy. This is an exciting position to lead the development and implementation of policy and curriculum to address the educational needs of francophones.

**Please Note**: This position operates within a hybrid work model, requiring onsite presence three days a week.

**About Us**:
The **French-Language Education Division (FLED)** focuses on the delivery of support services to elementary, secondary and post-secondary institutions. The division plays a leading role in the development of policies and programs that address the educational needs of francophones; develops policies, clarifies legislation, policy and program requirements with school boards and ensures their compliance. The division is also responsible for conducting research, developing evaluation strategies, and compiling statistics and analysis.

To succeed in this role, you will:

- Lead the development and evaluation of strategic and operational policy initiatives and programs related to the French-language curriculum in Ontario.
- Provide expertise and advice to senior executives on policy options, legislation, funding models, risk and issues management strategies.
- Oversee curriculum revisions and projects, ensuring thorough and precise review and revision processes.
- Strengthen stakeholder relations and build strong relationships with key partners to enhance collaboration and engagement.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

- You are proficient in English and French (oral and written) at the superior level

**Leadership Experience**:

**Strategic Planning and Project Management**:

- Experience leading strategic policy planning and evaluation, as well as multi-year business planning.
- Knowledge of project management principles to oversee and guide policy development and program service delivery.
- Expertise in managing and advancing projects, including effective risk management, to ensure successful outcomes.

**Technical Expertise**:

- Knowledge of policy development, government decision-making, and policy/program evaluation for French-language educational curriculum.
- Ability to plan and execute projects while managing competing priorities.
- High level of political acuity and judgment for confidential/sensitive issues.
- Experience and knowledge in French-language curriculum development, practices, and processes.
- Understanding of the current educational landscape and French-language education field.
- Valid Ontario Teaching Certificate is an asset.
