**HR Administrator Summer Student**

**Responsibilities**:

- Foster positive employee relations and effectively manage employee relations issues
- Participate in various Human Resources initiatives and projects in support of Company goals
- Provide local support to the US Payroll department as necessary
- Support Talent Acquisition in the local recruitment and selection process (posting jobs internally and on various job boards online, setting up interviews/job fairs)
- Support new hire employee orientations as required, and ensure all online onboarding, paperwork, and training is completed. Ensure applicable excel files are updated as necessary
- Assist in the preparation of weekly reports, such as bakery turnover and recruitment/staffing reporting
- Manage benefits administration (Manulife) enrolments/terminations and plan changes, and pension program administration
- Enter and maintain data in HRIS; including all transfers, terminations, and other data entry to ensure accurate and complete information and reporting is available
- Manage the probationary review process, supplying all departments with monthly reports
- Assist in organizing and managing company social events
- Assist with the management of Bakery job description administration, updates, and upload to the internal system (ETQ)
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned, such as employment letters, payroll reimbursements, bereavement baskets,, etc
- Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality, and quality
- Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in the employee handbook
- Adhere to food safety practices and ensure they are being followed
- Perform all other duties assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in College or University in a Human Resources program
- Some experience in an administrative role or office environment is preferred
- Some knowledge of ESA, Human Rights Code, OHSA, WSIB Regulations, and other related legislation pertaining to workplace Human Resources
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Good organization and follow-up skills
- Strong computer knowledge, including proficient Microsoft Office skills
