We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at Procor’s Edmonton location.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Oversee the work performed by maintenance crews and outside contractors to ensure all equipment and infrastructure are maintained to allow for the safe and efficient operations of the plant
- Manage urgent equipment issues
- Coordinate with the Maintenance department by communicating anticipated jobs
- Help develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules, and prioritization of mechanical expenditures and procedures
- Prepare material and labour estimates to develop project cost estimates and plant budgets
- Monitor the acquisition and use of materials to meet productivity and budgetary goals
- Maintain time, work order, material, equipment and other mechanical shop records on computerize maintenance management program
- Determine appropriate training for employees by evaluating their skills, abilities, safety practices and behaviour to maintain the necessary skills to perform their jobs
- Plan the schedules of the staff including assigning work and overtime as required
- Participate in the implementation of plant projects
- Ensure that Maintenance department tools and equipment are in good working condition and that adequate stocks of consumables are maintained to allow maintenance activities to occur as scheduled
- Evaluate new systems and equipment for implementation as well as the ability to look forward and identify future needs
- Available to supervise maintenance repairs, emergency maintenance, capital projects and equipment installations during off-shifts, weekends and holidays as needed
- Additional duties as assigned

**Desired Skills and Expertise**
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Mechanical Engineer and 5+ years’ maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment or

Mechanical Engineering Technologist with 10 years of maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment
- Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification considered an asset
- Supervisory experience is required, preferably in a unionized environment
- An understanding of permitting requirements as it pertains to additions/capital projects
- AutoCAD software, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft 365 considered an asset
- The ability to write proposals, make presentations and coordinate multiple and/or conflicting projects
- Knowledge of physical plant support systems (HVAC, controls systems, etc.)
- Ability to manage projects involving Electrical, Electrical Backup, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Safety, Water, and Compressed Air Systems
- Estimate manpower requirements for all job requirements including outside resources
- Partner with Health & Safety to ensure facility safety standards are being met
- Knowledge of safety standards, piping, and electrical standards, and other fundamental industrial and mechanical standards
- Team-oriented, self-motivated with strong leadership skills
- A high level of technical knowledge of planning/ scheduling/ procurement procedures is needed due to the complexity of activities
- Experience serving as site leader and technical project manager for capital investment projects at the facilities
- Ability to quote, budget, plan, and oversee the large-scale capital investment, process improvements (productivity), and other growth projects
- Prepare capital operating and budgets, providing justification as applicable
- Develop and manage facility(s) utility budgets
- Lead/assist in the preparation of justification for capital investment proposals
- Provide updates to current year budgeting and planning for upcoming years
- Manage vendor relationships through the project life cycle, from quote to completion implementation of capital equipment
- Develop project road map large and small which will improve facility performance
