**About the role**
The **Data and Instrument Quality Technician**, will support the physics operations _across 2 discrete areas: _
- _Data Quality 50%_
- _Instrument Quality 50%_
**What you will do**:
The **Data and Instrument Quality Technician**, in carrying out of their duties, will
- Data Quality Technician: _
- _provide office-based monitoring and support of instrument detector installations_
- _analysing instrument data to ensure client results are provided accurately and on-time _
- Instrument Quality Tetchnician: _
- _implement quality control testing processes to ensure correct functioning of equipment related to the Detector Station_
- _undertaking Office Acceptance Testing (OAT)_
- _undertake monitoring and tracking of components and consumables for the ongoing operation of instruments_
- _Manufacturing of consumables for the PhotonAssay instruments, including CRMs and reference discs;_
- _Supporting Operations by assisting in the logistics/packing of MAX items for each MAX unit deployment_You will be responsible for:
- _Utilising existing or developing skills to identify opportunities for improvement_
- _Contribute to a culture that values collaboration, technical excellence, and ongoing staff learning and development_
- _Support the development of a strong workplace health and safety culture_
- _interact with local and overseas Chrysos staff and clients in support of scheduled and unscheduled events_
**Who you are**:
- Essential_
- Laboratory experience
- Comfortable working with numbers, statistics and graphs
- Data/Information analysis and reporting experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Permanent residency or citizenship (or equivalent) for applicable country- Desirable_
- Experience performing QA/QC in a laboratory environment
- Experience performing data or statistical analysis in a lab or commercial environment
- Experience with simple scripting, plotting or programming tool such as Python, Matlab or R
- Experience managing technical communications with customers
- Software and/or Information Technology experience
- Experience in product development and/or manufacturing
