Position Overview:
As a Technical Service Representative (Electrical) you will primarily be responsible for supporting customer machines, improving the operation and maintenance of mining equipment to Caterpillar OEM standards and specifications all while retaining good customer relationships at the site level. In addition, the position is responsible for scheduling customer visits, resolving customer’s complaints / concerns and forecasting / supporting future customer requirements for their fleets.

Job Description:

- Support customers, in field, to minimize loading and drilling fleet downtime to maintain mine production requirements
- Responsible for scheduling customer visits, proactively engaging with customer stakeholders
- Liaise with Finning Parts Department to have the necessary parts delivered to the Mining customers for planned and unplanned work
- Send timely technical analysis to customers and Finning teams, providing the customer with recommended service options
- Based on technical machine audits and analysis reports, conducted by the TSR, the TSR will make recommendations to the customer on what components will need to be changed
- Must develop and maintain open lines of communication with all supporting Finning departments including, but not limited to, mining technical, account teams, and marketing
- Rapid escalation to the appropriate individuals and/ or groups of any machine down situations
- Provide safety solutions recommendations, look for SIF mitigation strategies
- Objective measurement on accountabilities (scheduling activities)
- Accountable for building a library on all technical issues

Qualifications:

- Journeyperson Red Seal Electrician with mechanical experience/aptitude
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a customer service role
- Mining and shovels and/or drill background required
- Experience with Caterpillar electric rope shovel product line
- Strong communication skills including verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- A high attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Self-starter and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Desire to grow within the organization and adapt to change
- Caterpillar equipment knowledge

Note:

- Permanent, full-time role
- This position is on a 7x7 day shift rotation
- Based out of Edmonton or Fort McMurray (Supporting sites in Alberta and BC)
