Proudly constructing the Valley Line West LRT

The City of Edmonton selected Marigold Infrastructure Partners to design and build the 14-kilometre Valley Line West LRT project from downtown to Lewis Farms. Construction has begun and will take five to six years to complete.

Marigold is a design-build joint venture agreement between Colas and Parsons.

**Project Controls Specialist**

**Responsibilities**:

- Interface with their assigned Segment/Project Manager in construction to deliver all required Project Control support
- Work with Project Controls Manager and Segment/Project Managers to provide accurate CTC/EAC and Key Quantity updates to ensure accurate status of schedule and client billing
- Work closely with Contract Management team to ensure all impacts of changes are identified and considered
- Assess the change impacts to project schedules and budgets
- Develop baselines for budgets and schedules and forecast resource requirements;
- Manage cost control, performance measurement, and change management processes;
- Implement and ensure accurate performance measurements and prepare project reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
- Analyze and submit reports to the client and management;
- Provide input to proposal preparation and project estimate submissions;
- Business controls documentation, coordination and support activities used to manage day-to-day business and client audits;
- Participate in development activities for continual improvement in the project control system & services;
- Ensure compliance with Company and customer policies and procedures;
- Complete change management assessments
- Managing client and key stakeholders expectations to build and sustain long-term relationships with clients
- Identify and coordinate follow up activities of changes
- Effective communication of all the required activities and follow-up as a result of the scope changes
- Work together with project management staff to ensure accurate and effective management of project budgets and project deliverables
- Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
- Track and record all changes and follow-up to ensure that all field activities are completed as per the change management plan
- Schedule updates on Primavera P6
- Effectively communicate all issues and concerns to the relevant stakeholder groups
- Lead by example by demonstrating the importance of fostering a safety culture

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of related industry experience in project controls, forecasting and other project control reports
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 is an asset
- JD Edwards Enterprise, ProjectWise and 3D Modeling is an asset
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access) and the ability to work with multiple programs
- Proven progressive experience in project controls
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and scheduling reports
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, and prioritize with experience responding to changing deadlines/priorities
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate in a professional manner
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Able to visit an in-process construction site when required and spend extended hours performing computer-based tasks.
- Valid driver's licence, preferably with clean abstract.
