**Your Role on our Team**: The Building Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the services performed on the interior and exterior of the building in order to maintain a safe, clean and operational facility for the tenant.
**In this role, you will**:
- Conducts daily site inspections of the building exterior and interior in order to maintain a safe and hazardous free environment;
- Inspects, directs and liaisons with various contractors responsible for the building (i.e. cleanliness, exterior landscaping, interior plant maintenance and snow removal);
- Inspects washrooms and common areas daily for cleanliness and provides a monthly report to PWGSC and the contract cleaning company;
- Arranges and oversees recycling and waste programs including disposal of food waste, cardboard, and construction waste;
- Arranges waste audits for the building and provides solutions for efficiencies;
- Responds to and coordinates the closing of NSCC calls, including after-hours and urgent calls;
- Reviews the daily NSCC report to ensure issues are closed;
- Distributes and manages building keys;
- Issues purchase orders for contractors and suppliers;
- Coordinates Building Service Requests with PWGSC and tenants, including soliciting and providing quotes and scheduling approved work with end user;
- Arranges seasonal decorations for both interior and exterior;
- Coordinates tenant moves with regards to garbage and recycle fit up;
- Coordinates special events such as New Year’s Eve, Children’s Christmas Party, Blood Banks, and Town Halls.
- Participates in the Health & Safety Committee meetings and investigates action items pertaining to daily building operations;
- Prepares Health and Safety incident reports for PWGSC and Minto when required;
- Liaises with PWGSC Facility Management to coordinate client services regarding building access afterhours, power shutdowns etc.;
- Acts as the designated Company Security Officer (CSO), which includes identifying employees who require access to Protected/Classified information, assets or work sites;
- Other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job, as requested by management.
**We would like you to have**:
**Education**: A University Degree or College Diploma is required in a relevant field.
**Experience**: A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant work experience in a similar role is required.
