The Data IO division of Company3 Post Production is responsible for the secure management of client’s digital assets.

**MAIN DUTIES**:
As a Data I/O Technician, you will be responsible for archive production data on a daily basis to LTO data cartridges, create detailed manifests for all created media, and process file deliveries from a variety of online sources including Aspera and other transfer protocols. You will be processing sensitive material efficiently and error free and will be responsible for moving & copying production files to and from the SAN. Additional duties include:

- Media preparation, formatting, and loading of data to various formats.
- File zipping/unzipping and conversions as required for each department.
- Maintaining and tracking of physical and electronic media assets.
- Handle & offload raw camera, sound media cards and hard-drives arriving from set.
- Complete file verification for files using supplied checksums.
- Assisting and/or leading movement of data throughout the Post Production pipeline.
- SAN Management/Maintenance and Monitoring of usable disk space.
- Coordinate with other Company 3 locations and outside providers regarding data deliveries.
- Assist in creating and maintaining databases/spreadsheets and directory structures for ongoing client projects.
- Database/Spreadsheet data entry as required.
- Uphold strict data security protocols in accordance with company and client policies and industry best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- Experience with YoYotta & Atempo LTO archival software would be beneficial
- Advanced knowledge of Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems including command line would be an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage large workloads.
- Very good communication skills both oral and written.
- Experience with Slack and MS Office required.
- Rotating shifts, days, evenings, nights, and weekends may be required from time to time for vacation coverage.
