**Accountabilities**:Reporting to the Director, Capital Projects, this role will lead project teams of technical and project professionals in the development and execution of multiple large, multi year capital projects. While primarily focused on the Wreck Cove Hydro Generating Station and water storage systems life extension projects, assignments can include other significant projects within Nova Scotia Power.
**This position will be responsible for**:

- Liaison with internal and external regulatory bodies;
- Development of projects to meet regulatory approval requirements;
- Stakeholder engagement;
- Collaboration with hydro operations;
- Contract and site management;
- Forecasting, cost controls, and project documentation control;
- Maintaining procurement governance;
- Project safety and environmental planning leadership, commissioning, and close out.

You will be required to work closely with members of the project team, other project teams within the capital projects group, as well as other technical and operating teams to ensure the project is successfully executed and operational.
You will be responsible for personal safety, that of co-workers, and those under your direction by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupation Health and Safety Rules and Regulations and establishing robust project safety planning practices. You will be accountable for environmental management system processes and initiatives.
**Skills, Capabilities and Experience**:
You must possess a valid driver´s license and be available to provide aid/direction for after hour emergency service restoration.
