Finishing Supervisor

**FINISHING SUPERVISOR**

Due to growth within our company, we are seeking a Finishing Supervisor to join our team in Hawkesville (just outside of Waterloo). Our Finishing Supervisor is an integral member of the Chervin family and a key step in our vision to create inspired interiors that grace your living space with unrivalled **QUALITY**, **DISTINCTION**, and **PEACE OF MIND**. This is a full-time position with 44 hours a week. Wage commensurate with experience. Benefits are provided after the 3-month probationary period.

Since 1991, Chervin has been designing, manufacturing, and installing high-end custom cabinetry in homes across Waterloo Region. Over the years, Chervin has expanded to serve the GTA and Muskoka region. Chervin has also built and acquired 4 sister companies which have given us the opportunity to be a key player in the markets for luxury hotel furniture, residential furniture, custom upholstered furniture, and home décor.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**

Reporting to the Production Manager:

- Supervise staff within the finishing department
- Ensure schedule provided from Production Manager is followed
- Maintain quality and efficiency within the Finishing department
- Ensure material coming into shop meets quality standards
- Maintain communication with other department leads to ensure production flow is maintained
- Participate and support continuous improvement initiatives to ensure we always deliver QUALITY, COMPLETE, & ON-TIME
- Provide continued support of H&S Program
- Provide leadership and guidance to all finishing staff.
- Ensure proper training to all new finishing staff.
- Identify Bottlenecks in the department and how to correct them.
- Follow Chervin's core values and project them to your team.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2+ years of Supervisory and Leadership experience
- 2+ years of Finishing experience
- Knowledge of finishing equipment and quality processes
- Strong English verbal and written skills
- Knowledge of woodworking an asset
