**Position Summary**

Our IT Team manages the technology behind our industry leading live video monitoring center. They are responsible for a large eco-system of desktops, laptops, servers, our critical LAN / WAN network systems, as well as our cloud server workloads & active directory. Systems are distributed among 4 monitoring centers in Dallas, Toronto, and the Philippines. This Systems Administrator will manage and identify issues with our infrastructure while working with Philippines teams to ensure our servers and user equipment remain healthy and up to date.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Maintain, upgrade, and ensure security of network and server infrastructure including performance monitoring (physical and cloud)
- Manage the mobile and computer security policy
- Update and adhere to existing backup and disaster recovery plans
- Plan, implement and support the network and computing infrastructure plan
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure procedures, processes, designs, and builds
- Perform technology needs research and analysis.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory of computer equipment, software licenses, etc.
- Build, Install, test and update computer equipment (computers, servers, peripherals, programs, and software)
- Troubleshoot PC, Network and Server related problems with local teams
- Provide training and support to other members of the IT organization
- Act in accordance with all policies, procedures practices and guidelines in the performance of accountabilities
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Several years of directly related experience as a network or system administrator in a medium to large sized network of servers, PCs, and enterprise network equipment.
- Technical expertise in network infrastructure configurations, desktops/laptops, and operating systems, including, Windows 10, LINUX, and Ubiquiti network systems, switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, etc.
- Knowledge of virtual server environments (VMware, HyperV)
- Microsoft SQL Server 2016+
- Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users.
- Demonstrated ability to administer a 250+ node network including firewalls.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies.
- Wired and wireless security experience is an asset
- IP Telephony or VoIP routing experience is an asset
- Excellent English verbal and written communication including interpersonal skills are a must.

- Microsoft Certified (IT, Systems Administrator, Modern Desktop Administrator, Azure Administrator)
- Ubiquiti Certified (UNS, UBWA, UBRSS, UBRSA)
- Cisco Certified (Network Professional / CCNP, Network Associate / CCNA)
- Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
- Avigilon, GeoVision, HikVision, Axis, RBH, HID

**Working Conditions**
- Work Remotely: On rotation temporarily due to COVID-19.
- Primary on-site work is to be expected
- Flexibility in work schedule may be required for on call support.
