We're needing to fill a short term contract role with the possibility to become permanent.

**Role Overview**:
As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing them with a warm and friendly welcome. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth flow of operations in the front office, handling administrative tasks, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records. Additionally, you will be a strong communicator to assist in maintaining a drama-free and enjoyable environment for both our patients and our team. We see patients from 11am-7pm Mon/Tue/Wed; 9am-5pm Thu and 8am-4pm Fri; closed weekends and holidays. This is a maternity leave coverage role, with the potential for permanent employment for the right person.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information to patients.
- Manage patient records and update information as necessary.
- Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries, pre-determinations etc
- Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean reception area.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Contribute to creating a positive, drama-free work environment for all team members.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year previous experience as a dental receptionist is required
- Successful completion of a Dental Administration Diploma/Certification course
- Exceptional interpersonal and English communication skills to interact effectively with patients and the dental team.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage appointments, patient records, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of dental software, Office 365 Apps and general computer efficiency - previous use of Dentrix is a plus
- A positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
- Ability to work in a team environment, fostering a drama-free and enjoyable workplace.
- Available to work Mon through Friday, with 3 evening shifts
