AECOM Markham is hiring a Structural Package Lead to support the Ontario Line North project, with a focus on the design and delivery of transit stations. This is an opportunity to contribute to a transformative infrastructure project alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as a senior technical resource and advisor within the structural team
- Provide specialized technical input for station and infrastructure design
- Serve as Engineer of Records for the same station and infrastructure design
- Develop design methodologies and procedures to ensure high-quality, cost-effective outcomes
- Lead team reviews of project deliverables and participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables
- Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Develop construction cost estimates and assess technical effort for structural scope
- Conduct quality control reviews of design work and deliverables
- Prepare structural sections of technical specifications
- Support the development of engineering budgets and schedules
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 6 years of experience in structural engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario
**Preferred Qualifications**
- 8+ years of experience in structural design for transit or public infrastructure projects
- Experience working on transit station support of excavation and structures, preferably for TTC, Metrolinx or other major transit clients
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, RISA, or similar)
- Strong understanding of Ontario Building Code, CSA standards, and transit-specific structural design requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills
- Experience with design-build or alternative project delivery models is an asset
