**PURPOSE**:
The Trade Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role in developing and executing marketing strategies specifically tailored for retail trade while providing support and tools to grow sales and increase profitability.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Role and Responsibilities**
- Create and implement effective trade marketing strategies aligned with overall marketing and business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product offerings and promotional opportunities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Plan and execute trade promotions, product launches, and other marketing initiatives to drive sales and increase market share.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure alignment with sales objectives and strategies.
- Create marketing collateral, POS materials, and sales tools tailored to trade channels.
- Work closely with the Brand Marketing Specialist/creative agencies to develop visually appealing and effective promotional materials.
- Negotiate and implement joint marketing programs and promotions with trade partners.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives.
- Use insights to make data-driven recommendations for optimizing future strategies.
- Develop and manage the trade marketing budgets effectively, ensuring cost efficiency and maximizing ROI.
- Monitor and report on budget allocation and spending.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales, to align tradeshow activities with overall business strategies.
- Coordinate with external partners, agencies, and contractors to ensure smooth event execution.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors on required product information and product support to develop and communicate effectively with internal teams.

- Provide event planning for the company and sponsored community events.
- Responsible for charitable donation requests.
- Oversee branded merchandise, such as researching and ordering, budgeting, and tracking inventory.
- Plan and implement product merchandising strategies to maximize sales.
- Organize and maintain product information, including spec sheets and GS1 listings.
**Requirements**:
- The Trade Marketing Specialist will have a consistently positive attitude and a cooperative team approach to work and will act as an ambassador for our brands.
- He or she will be highly disciplined, task-oriented, organized, and able to attend to details of the business work while still maintaining focus on long-term goals.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.
- Confident, motivated by challenge, and a team player interested in sharing ideas.
- An individual who is seeking long-term growth and desires to help build this company.
- Ability to plan, execute and maintain an annual budget.
- 5+ years’ experience in a Marketing role or equivalent
- Knowledgeable with graphic design and experience in MS Office and various Adobe products.
- Related experience with a CPG background is considered an asset.
- Travel required.
- Overtime as required.

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
