We are looking for a **Receptionist (Temporary Contract)** in Fort McMurray, Alberta, who will be our friendly first point of customer and member contact. They'll greet guests, answer phone calls, and receive and forward mail. They'll also provide administrative support to our team by preparing documents and performing other administrative tasks.

This position reports to the Operations and Membership Manager and is an in-office role.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet members and guests to the McMurray Métis office, creating a friendly first impression of the organization and ensuring all visitors sign-in to the visitor log
- Handle cash transactions with visitors purchasing items from the store
- Maintain a clean and safe reception area for visiting guests
- Receive telephone calls and answer inquiries or direct them to the appropriate team member
- Receive messages and mail and forward to the relevant party
- Transcribe meeting minutes and other documents as requested and distribute
- Keep inventory of office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Administrative and other duties as required

**What you need to succeed**
- High school diploma or GED
- Friendly customer service skills and emotional intelligence
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Trustworthiness and bondable with cash
- Computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

**What would give you an edge**
- Post-secondary training in a related field
- Experience in customer service and administrative roles
