**About the Position**:
Canature WaterGroup is looking for a driven, talented, and personable individual to join our team. If you have demonstrated experience as a controller in a mid-size international organization with subsidiaries in the United States and Mexico.you will want to consider joining our expanding business.

This position will work closely with the Financial Reporting Manager and the Vice President of Finance to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operation of the department. The Controller will assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, systems and procedures with the goal of improving reporting and internal controls. This position will also coordinate external requirements and review of financial statement including analysis. The Controller will report to senior management any concerning trends the are critical to the organization’s financial performance. Lead and manage a team of finance department employees. They are responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing existing employees as well as recruitment and retention of new team members as needed. They are a steward, operator, strategist and catalyst for the department.

Some specifics tasks this role is responsible for includes (This is intended to provide a general overview of the job and does not encompass all task or responsibilities that may be assigned):

- Successfully lead a team of finance department employees
- Provide coaching and mentorship to employees
- Review Balance Sheet Rec’s
- Develop, implement, monitor and report on internal controls
- Collaborate with external auditors
- Review Financial Statements and prepare analysis
- Maintain and manage the ERP system (QAD)
- Liaison with different departments to improve on policy and process
- Research technical accounting issues
- Ensure quality financial reporting
- Maintain control over all transactions going into the system
- Ensure timely financial reporting and statements
- Review Payments going out
- Cash Management
- Review payroll each pay period
- Physical inventory counts
- Fixed asset and lease overview
- Process documentation
- Automation
- Customer and Vendor issues

**About you**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, commerce or related field is required
- CPA designation is required
- Several years of experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial planning and analysis are required
- 3-5 years in Controller role
- Proven experience successfully leading and managing a team
- Valid Passport and the ability to travel into countries of operation (Canada, USA and Mexico)
- Minimum 10 years experience in the accounting field in continuously progressive roles
- Experience or knowledge working with US and or Mexico business operations
- Strong in-depth working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
- Strong working knowledge of relevant provincial / state/ federal / international legislation
- Keen attention to detail
- Proficient in gathering and analyzing data
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite of products and the ability to learn other software
- Superior knowledge and use of Excel / Google sheets
- Proficient in the use of Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) software - QAD an asset
- Solid commitment and skill in service delivery, project management and issue resolution
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- A confident, respected leader who proactively manages own strengths and opportunities
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects on an on-going basis and to effectively prioritize in a fast paced, deadline oriented and rapidly changing business environment
