**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Manage electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Answer and direct phone calls using proper phone etiquette. Answering enquiries in a helpful, respectful, and efficient manner
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Ensure patient confidentiality
- Provide administrative support to medical staff including data entry and filing
- Greet patients, check them in, verify insurance information
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic and front desk area
- Perform patient prep procedures and document findings on the patient record.
- Ensure office and exam rooms are stocked appropriately; orders and receives supplies.

**Clinical Skills and Abilities**
- Preparing patients and set up exam rooms for respective purposes including PAP, IUD, minor procedures, well child exam, etc.
- Perform and record results for measurements and office based labs including blood pressure, urine testing, height and weight (including infants)

**Qualifications**
- Recent experience as a medical office assistant. MOA Certification from Canada an asset.
- Proficiency in using OSCAR, AVA, or other electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Strong administrative and organization skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with strong time management skills
- Sincere passion for exceptional patient care and building impactful relationships
- Mature, confident team player
- Ability to work well under pressure and use good judgement in assessing difficult situations
- Ability to commute to Richmond: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Language: English (required); Mandarin, Cantonese an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
