**Job Summary**

The Controls System Specialist is primarily responsible for the programming and design of all equipment at Vuteq.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Machine programming; this team member is responsible for supporting the installation of new machines/updating current machines with appropriate programs
- System programing and design; work with PLC Programmer to accurately program/design new and current systems
- Design and monitoring of current robotic and PLC system
- Issue identification to increase efficiency
- Work with maintenance team to problem solve and prioritize work based on data
- Train and support cross-functional team activity with production, maintenance, and IT team members to increase productivity
- Support other Vuteq divisions when issues arise (travel if necessary)
- Support Maintenance Manager with maintenance operations
- Support with design and upkeep of PM system for maintenance team
- Help create and implement cost effective solutions
- Aid during breakdowns, when necessary

**Job Qualifications**

**_
Education_**
- Successful completion of a skilled trade diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance
- Successful completion of a PLC Programming/Controls operations diploma/certificate

**_
Experience_**
- 3 years of computer networking experience
- 3 years of PLC Programming experience
- 3 years of experience working with Six Axis Robots
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with CAD systems

Skills and Abilities_**
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing demands of production from customers and team member issues
- Actively listen to fellow team members about concerns or issues that arise
- Ability to effectively manage a small group of professionals to achieve shared and personal goals
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to speak in front of groups of people, and ability to effectively communicate information with varying levels of individuals (both team members and management groups)
- Ability to show versatility and resourcefulness when problem solving
- Ability to organize priorities based on deadlines and importance of tasks
- Manage time efficiently while working on several different tasks at once

- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have an Industrial Electrician certification
