**About Houle Electric**:
At Houle, we are passionate about building resilient communities. From airports, shipping terminals, and water treatment facilities, to hospitals, universities, and shopping centres, we deliver integrated electrical solutions for our industrial, commercial, institutional and residential customers.

While we are leaders in electrical construction, we also specialize in a wide range of in-house technology solutions, including audio visual, building automation, healthcare systems, network systems, and security and life-safety. **About the position**:
Houle's Project Planning Services department is looking for a **Revit Technician** to join the team. Our planning department specializes in designing and creating installation drawings from engineering construction documents, to the field stage for installation. This encompasses many electrical systems such as distribution infrastructures, wall elevations, branch power & lighting, fire alarm, and technology systems such as structured cabling, nurse call, and security.

Based out of Kelowna, the Project Planning Services team supports our large Design Build projects across the province, ranging from large residential, office high rises to major hospitals.

As a Revit Technician, your responsibilities would be to support and work closely with our electrical planners to provide Revit and CAD assisted drafting. This entails 3D modeling clash adjustments and coordination, concept modeling, infrastructure layouts, wiring pull plans, and electrical details.

Not only will you get to operate within Revit and CAD, but we also hope that you will take on the challenge of learning some base electrical planning with the close guidance of our planners.

**There are both Hybrid and Remote work options available for this role.**

**Duties and responsibilities**:
The incumbent would be responsible for working with our project planning services team to:

- Work side by side with our planners to repair bulk modeling issues within Revit, on electrical products, such as Conduit racks, distribution equipment, light fixtures, and in wall devices.
- Develop drawings using design information provided from hand sketches, Bluebeam and CAD including system line diagrams, floor plans, and elevations
- Relevant Education
- Experience with document and asset management within Revit and BIM 360, and the remainder of the Autodesk umbrella
- Experience with modeling to standard LOD levels (Levels of Detail 100-500)
- Experience within Revit creating and managing families is an asset
- Capable of working side by side with planners to adjust modeling
- Experience with reviewing and navigating through typical construction drawings
- Thorough understanding and efficiency with drafting standards
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills with the ability to take initiative
- Energetic, flexible, problem solving mindset

Culture is important at Houle. You must be collaborative in nature. You are a solution focused team player and always willing to learn. You are a bright, ambitious, honest, and a straight forward professional. Your personable nature will fit well within the friendly working environment.

The compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience. Houle offers an exciting, enjoyable work environment, competitive benefits package as well as a competitive incentive plan and many company sponsored events.

**For the interview process, please be prepared to showcase your portfolio.
