**Nanny / House Manager (French Speaking Preferred)**

**Location**: Ancaster area.
**Schedule**: 2 days per week (8 hours per day) to start.
**Start Date**: Aiming for first week of November

**About the Role**

This is a part-time position supporting a family with a **1-year-old child**. Both parents work from home, and the role focuses on ensuring the child’s safety, engagement, and daily care, along with light household management.

**Childcare Responsibilities**
- Supervise and ensure the **s**afety and well-being of the child at all times
- Engage the child through reading, talking, and age-appropriate developmental play
- Feed meals/snacks and assist with food preparation for the child
- Wash bottles, dishes, and utensils related to the child’s care
- No diaper changing required
- Collaborate with parents who are working from home to maintain a smooth daily rhythm

**Household Responsibilities**
- General tidying and cleaning of the home (approx. 1200 sq. ft.)
- Vacuuming and mopping floors as needed
- Cleaning bathrooms and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Laundry / ironing clothes
- Light organization and upkeep to ensure a comfortable, tidy environment
- No pets in the home

**Qualifications**
- Fluent in French (preferred)
- Prior experience as a Nanny, Montessori teacher, or Early Childhood Educator strongly preferred
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification for infants and children
- Must be willing to obtain a Criminal Reference Check at own expense
- Must provide three professional references
- Trustworthy, kind, proactive, and comfortable working in a home where parents are present

**Schedule & Hours**
- 2 days per week, 8 hours per day (specific days to be determined and are flexible between Monday, Wednesday or Fridays)
- Opportunity for additional hours in the future

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
