**Location**
**Position Overview**
This position is an ambassador for Burlington Transit, providing high quality customer service to our passengers. The Transit Ticket and Information Clerk will help our passengers with trip planning, purchasing transit fare, locating lost items, and answering transit questions and concerns. This position will require flexible working hours with a varied schedule, including the potential to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.
**Responsibilities**
The Transit Ticket and Information Clerk is responsible for:
- Assisting customers with schedule and trip planning information, including connections to other transit agencies (e.g. GO Transit, HSR and Oakville Transit).
- Selling Burlington Transit vouchers and PRESTO cards, including loading cards and passes, and answering general PRESTO questions.
- Staying up to date on current promotions and upcoming detours, proactively sharing information with customers.
- Entering customer service inquiries and complaints into the corporate Customer Relationship Management system to ensure timely resolution
- Preparing deposits and reconciling end of day Point of Sale reports.
