**Position Summary**
**Primary Responsabilities**
- Member Housing _
- Orders appliances for on-reserve rentals.
- Sends monthly rental arrears letters to Social Housing tenants.
- Uses tact and discretion when dealing with all matters relating to members, including but not limited to financial status of members, housing issues, rental arrears, and tenant information.
- Performs maintenance inspections and/or arranges these inspections with tenants.
- Housing Department Training_
- Develops and delivers training programs for staff and community members on housing policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Coordinates workshops and informational sessions to enhance understanding of housing-related responsibilities, such as rental management and maintenance processes.
- Provides ongoing training support to improve team capacity in addressing housing needs effectively.
- Identifies training needs through collaboration with the Housing Manager and community feedback.
- Tracks participation and evaluates the effectiveness of training programs, incorporating improvements as needed.
- Ensures training materials are culturally relevant and align with Esquimalt Nation values and traditions.
- Responsible for accurately reporting based on any and all reporting requirements from Funding sources.
- Uses provided resources to source additional funding opportunities.
- Submits, tracks, and follows up with members from outside organizations and the Government to ensure that all required information has been submitted.
- Communicates in a timely and efficient fashion with members, Chief & Council, administration staff, and outside agencies.
- Administrative _
- Drafts letters, memos, notices, and other correspondence to community housing members.
- Communicates with colleagues and supervisors in a timely fashion.
- Produces accurate and well-formatted documents using various word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Plans for and maintains a detailed budget.

**Training, Education, and Experience**
- Grade 12 or GED equivalent.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Experience working in an office administration capacity.
- Successful completion of Rent Smart Program preferred.
- Pursuant to Section 41 of BC Human Rights Code, preference may be given to qualified applicants of Indigenous ancestry (First Nations, Metis, and Inuit), with the required combination of education and experience.

Pay: $26.01-$33.44 per hour
