**OBJECTIVE**:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, Production, the Traffic and Logistics Manager ensures that each customer order gets delivered to its destination at the best cost and within the best timeframe possible while complying with the service level policy of the company. The incumbent also makes sure that all imported goods flow seamlessly from our international vendors to both of our manufacturing hubs located in Canada and Eastern Europe. Transfers between manufacturing hubs are also under their responsibilities.
To achieve this goal, the Traffic and Logistics Manager will lead a team reporting to him. Together, they are responsible for preparing shipments, coordinating pick up by transporters, and ensuring preparation of the proper custom and regulatory documentations for all international shipments. Along with his team, the Traffic and Logistics Manager will also be accountable to resolve any transport or custom issue interrupting the movement of goods. Keeping records, monitoring deliveries/pickups, and handling any other shipment activities of the company are also part of the position’s responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage successful execution of various forms of freight and customs entries
- Prioritize and manage multiple shipments via different means of transportation
- Master custom and regulatory requirements and ensure custom document compliance for all 60+ countries we export our products to
- Work with the Operations and Sales Administration teams to determine the daily/weekly priorities
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day relationship with carriers
- Ensure efficient and quick resolution of daily logistic issues
- Monitor carrier service levels and logistic costs and identify initiatives to optimize it
- Set, measure, publish and improve traffic and logistics KPIs
- Monitor and review performance and optimize existing department business processes when needed
- Develop and implement office policies by setting up SOP’s pertaining to logistics and all related functions
- Lead the compliance with cargo security programs such as CTPAT and the Air Cargo Security (ACS) Program
- Review and approve carrier invoices
- Assist with Duty Drawback claims in Canada and the USA as well as post entry adjustments as a result of transfer pricing adjustments
- Assist with Customs related audits locally and in international jurisdictions
- Participate to RFQ processes for carrier and freight forwarders
- Input data into tracking system in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage the Traffic and Logistics team including yearly objective setting performance assessment

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or equivalent experience
- Five to seven years of traffic and logistics experience with international experience
- Strong knowledge of the various Free Trade Agreements: CUSMA, CETA, TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership)
- Solid understanding of intercompany transactions and the use of transfer pricing
- Understanding of European VAT Matrices pertaining to Port or Export, Port of Entry and Importer of Record
- Solid business acumen, organizational, leadership, and influential skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
