**Hours**:Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
**Work Categorization**:Required to work in person on campus.
Under the direction of the Director, Centre for Teaching and Learning, the incumbent supports the College on and develops systems for demonstrating compliance with the curricular standards set out in the provincially mandated Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). The incumbent will work closely with faculty, staff, Library Learning Commons, Learning System Services, Counselling and Accessibility Services, and Human Resources to evaluate, collect data to monitor and advise on current AODA compliance in academic curriculum, create training resources for employees, assist with policy development, make recommendations for tools and technologies to reach AODA compliance, and act as a resource for AODA curricular compliance at Fanshawe College.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary 4-year degree or equivalent in Social sciences or related program with a focus on disability studies, research, law, public policy and/or governance
- Minimum 3 years’ experience and w ell-developed knowledge and understanding of the AODA Act, 2005
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience with developing and promoting accessibility and ensuring compliance with legislated requirements
- Knowledge of online instructional design
- Familiarity with and understanding of trends in educational technology
- Knowledge and understanding of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA technical standard
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills are essential
- Strong interpersonal skills are required
- Strong computer skills including spreadsheet and data management software
- Knowledge of Post Secondary operating environments and curriculum would be an asset
