About the Role:
- Act as an HR business advisor to the various business partners within Sifton to gather information, problem-solve situations, and propel discussions forward on various topics such as Recruitment, Systems, Policies, and Learning to promote employee engagement, and offer solutions to enhance and promote our family-based culture and HR departmental goals.
- Take an active role in developing best practice recruiting strategies, reviewing job descriptions to prepare and publish job postings that tell the Sifton brand story to attract suitable and strong talent. Acts as a leader in talent acquisition through job fairs, networking connections and all manner(s) of talent pool associations and facilities to promote the Sifton brand.
- Participate in Task Force designed to collaborate, build connections, solicit feedback about ongoing recruitment initiatives to create process improvements and develop and deliver appropriate policies while enhancing a strong employee brand.
- Comfortable with executing within the full cycle recruitment process; translating job descriptions into concise and effective job postings, managing volumes of applicants leading to conducting pre-screens/interviews, coordinating interview setups, and checking references. Additionally, knowledgeable on Police background checks and guiding Managers through the full process of documentation to be ready for day one with Sifton.
- Utilizes personal capacity of technical insights and ability to contribute ideas and maintain technical and design aspects that supports the HR team function in the adoption of new systems for efficiencies in data collection and analysis.
- Remain current on HR recruitment trends, best practices, and ensure compliance with employment related laws/practices. Assist with the research, development and/or contribute to other programs and initiatives in support of the Talent experience and Sifton Properties Limited brand.
Experience & Qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in Talent Management with key experience of full recruitment cycle, employee relations, understanding compensation, onboarding and training.
- Acts as professional advisor to our business partners with demonstrated communication skills; to listen, collaborate, problem solve, and advise on recruitment across multiple levels within the organization.

- High attention to detail; strong writing and proofreading skills, accuracy in collecting, analysing and reporting on recruitment data and documentation.
- Excellent computer/systems proficiency, particularly Microsoft office, HRIS, and ATS systems.
- Engaging and creative in presenting, training and onboarding others to the organization
- Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Professional discretion and trustful manner in all interpersonal activities and matters related to confidential and sensitive information
