About the program/department/team
The department of Law and Business at the Ted Rogers School of Management is home to several legal scholars and philosophers focusing on a wide variety of topics, including critical thinking and argumentation theory.
The opportunity
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to improving the quality of an anthology of works in Argumentation Theory. The anthology will collect works in argumentation from across South America and make translations freely available to the English-speaking world.
Proofreaders will review already translated works to ensure the highest standards of English language expression are met. If they wish, the proofreaders will also have the opportunity to discuss the topics and material with the supervisor, contributing to the advancement of their philosophical knowledge.
**Qualifications**:
A minimum undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as (but not limited to), English, Philosophy, Law is required, although graduate students in those fields will be given preference. Proficiency with Microsoft Word. Experience and/or interest in Argumentation Theory is an asset.
