Explore our job opportunities and join us in shaping the future of renewable energy, contributing to the creation of a world powered by sustainable energy._ **Key Responsibilities**: - Perform detailed inspections of wind turbine blades to identify damage, wear, and other issues. - Conduct repairs on wind turbine blades, including fiberglass, composite, and structural repairs. - Utilize a variety of tools and equipment to carry out blade repairs, including sanding, grinding, and bonding materials. - Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. - Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to develop and implement effective repair strategies. - Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. - Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay current with industry best practices and technological advancements. **Qualifications**: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred. - Proven experience in composite material repair, preferably in the wind energy industry. - Strong understanding of wind turbine blade construction and repair techniques. - Proficient with hand and power tools used in blade repair. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong commitment to safety and quality standards. - Physical ability to climb wind turbines and work at heights up to 300 feet. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various sites as required. - Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments. - IRATA/SPRAT rope access training considered an asset **Work Environment**: - The role requires working at significant heights, often in challenging weather conditions. - Frequent travel to different wind turbine sites across Canada. - Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
