Deli Associate

Our growing food retail business requires a courteous and customer-focused individual to join our Deli Team. Shifts are scheduled from 9am - 5pm and applicants can expect 2 to 3 shifts per week, which include week days and weekends.

As the applicant, you are enthusiastic about customer service, product quality, and merchandising; you are a team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced food service environment.

Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest, directing them to products in the store, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.

Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging and pricing meats and cheese, as well as pre-packaging a variety of products for customer convenience.

Preparing special orders and party trays with knowledge and skill to ensure customer catering needs are satisfied.

Operating meat and cheese slicers, cutting tools, scales and other deli equipment.

Updating displays, cases and other customer facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.

Filling, maintaining and rotating products and displays to ensure the freshest product and prevent potential food waste.

Ensuring work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment and floors, removing garbage, as well as stocking required materials and confirming that tools are in safe, working order.

Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies.

Train new Deli Team Members in all manners of the job in order to maintain consistency in the department.

Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, as well as other department members, to offer quality customer service.

Assist in other duties or departments as assigned.

Pay: $17.20 per hour
