**Position Function**:
The District Sales Manager for the Genie professional channel works to ensure that dealer-specific programs are developed and executed to achieve the Genie sales objectives. This position will have responsibility for the selling of Genie Pro products to independent dealers and accounts in a geographic territory.

**Territory**:
Western Canada

**Principle Duties / Responsibilities**:

- Grow, manage, and maximize sales in existing Genie Pro accounts in assigned territory.
- Identify and establish new Genie Pro accounts and sales in assigned sales territory.
- Manages forecast accuracy and means of improvement with the forecast.
- Drive optimum service levels and progress toward sales goals for all accounts.
- Ensure effective channels of communications are maintained in all levels of sales, marketing, management, production, and customer service.
- Maintains constant awareness of the competitive environment and opportunities. Brings forward innovative ideas for promoting Genie products, working with Sales & Marketing to develop an annual promotion calendar with each account.
- Provide and deliver training content for Genie Pro products and services within assigned sales territory and within the team.
- Execute promotional plans for assigned territory and work with marketing team to develop promotional activities and timing.
- Prepare and deliver sales plan as established within the assigned sales territory.
- Stakeholder in annual planning process consisting of cross-functional teams in support of Genie’s business objectives.

**Skills/Experience Requirements**
- 5+ years of sales/marketing experience in consumer durable goods, preferably in building products or consumer goods.
- Knowledge of sales organizations with multiple channels of distribution.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills - for internal groups, as well as sales organization and sales territory.
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change; ability to go the extra mile to bring success to Genie and the channel partner.
- Well-planned, eye for detail; action and results oriented.
- Work effectively without supervision or, in many cases, with cross-functional. departments during the planning process for line reviews and new product presentations.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Must be able to work well in a matrix environment.
- Ability to manage relationships with Genie Pro dealer channel partner.
- Must be computer literate in MS Office software; advanced skills working with computer programs in creating power point and excel documents.

**Education Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales Management, Marketing or Business

**Physical/Work Environment Requirements**:

- Home Office
- Territory Travel - 50-75%
