The District Sales Manager – Canada will provide a vital link between strategy and implementation by leading the development and implementation of strategic projects, including acquisitions, contributing to shaping/equipping the organization for future development, driving the agenda to reach targets in the Canada District, and ensuring that all projects are aligned with Piab’s strategy, commitments, and goals. Examples of projects related to this role: developing sales initiatives and process initiatives to help reach our goals; producing tools and reports to help grow the business; streamlining processes to help the team work more efficiently. The role will support the growth of profitable sales and market share of Piab VARG products, focusing on the development of our Area Sales Managers, channel partners, and customers in the Canada District. Key responsibilities Develop and implement district and territory business plans in support of company goals and objectives. Develop and manage sales channels for all industrial Vacuum Automation, Robotic Gripping, and Robotic Foam Gripping products and accessories in support of Canada District and Canadian territory goals and objectives. Document and manage sales activity, including customer interactions, opportunities, and account information through active use of Salesforce CRM and Piab’s Sales Excellence Process for direct Canadian territory responsibility and support/manage the same activities for direct report team. Conduct monthly reviews with distributors and other channel partners in support of direct Canadian territory and Canada District growth. Provide customers and channel partners with technical support engineers for Piab Vacuum Automation, Robotic Gripping, and Robotic Foam Gripping product lines. Work in conjunction with other Piab divisions and departments to cultivate and manage sales activity within the Canada District. Inform/teach customers and sales channels about new products, application successes, and Piab’s various support tools. Participate in joint and direct sales calls based on potential or strategic account value. Provide technical training for sales channel partners as well as OEM, Robotic Integrator, and end‑user customers through webcasts and site visits. Participate in Piab-hosted annual distributor/rep meetings, events, and activities. Provide on‑site customer service and technical support for Vacuum Automation, Robotic Gripping, and Robotic Foam Gripping products. Assist when needed with trade show preparation and coverage. Provide the Regional Sales Director – North America with weekly and monthly updates about significant Canadian territory activity, opportunities, and issues. Work with inside partner(s) to support the Canada region and achieve Canadian territory goals and objectives. Manage an operating budget within the Canada District that balances costs and efficiency with the expenditure demands for responsible Canadian territory management. Act according to the Piab Code of Conduct and know and follow the Piab values, mission, and routines. This role requires travel to both Piab and external parties’ global destinations when applicable. Key interfaces This position reports to the Regional Sales Director – North America. District Sales Manager – Canada works closely with the other members of the North America Team and other departments central to the company as well as representatives of the owner, Patricia Industries and the rest of the board. Skills and abilities Excellent English skills: verbal and written. Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc. General understanding of pneumatics and pneumatic systems. Demonstrates strong leadership skills. Experience with online webinar and conference tools (Teams, GoToMeeting, etc). Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus. Experience working with manufacturers distributors is a plus. Strong organizational skills. Capable of working independently and comfortable making decisions.
